    Quick question about Gearboxes

    Hi all

Im thinking this is a silly question but in about a year im building a Kit car.
My questions is is there any RWD gearboxes for 1.4 TSI or GTI engines in
the VW family preferably 6speed & manual. even if they could use adaptors.
Im just looking at all engine & greaboxes around and the traps & im quite
liking the TSI engine. little motor good power & good torque for a car that
will most likely weigh around 750kg

I dont think there is an rwd box for the 2.0 but there is the quattro from an a4/5 which runs longitudinally.

I would do some research on the 1.4 TSI twin charged engine first. I'm in the trade, and there have been lots of people talking about these things failing. One customer even has a spare engine in his shop just in case!

1.8T is a proven strong engine, more plentiful and can get huge power from just waving a stick at it
