    Are you copying my old flat, faded, miss matched painted & primered paneled silver beater







    Hopefully I'll have mine done just after your's is on the road. Plenty of time to iron out the bug's for the road trip.

    I don't blame you! I love them too, Once of the best rims for a mk 1 imo, not overstated or flashy, but just right.


    Josh, have you tuned the carb yet? is it still idling real low?

    bumped the idle up a bit, still a bit low so ill work on it soonish, gotta get that rocker cover gasket cos it just spits oil everywhere if i run it too long.

    Get the updated one piece rubber gasket if you can. I got mine from germanautoparts. Here's a link http://www.germanautoparts.com/Volks...t/Engine/102/1

    You have to change the studs but that only takes 5 minutes. No gasket goo required just bolt it up.

    I got a similar one for the sump, but I should have gotten the windage tray. Hmmm .. next order I think.
