    3 cheers for Peter, Mate, you deserve a medal. Its fellas like you that make the VW scene. I am finding it very hard reading all the DOVW stuff here as I only wish I could have made it over there to catch up with the friends I have made on the forum. Have fun people!
    Just one thing, I find it very easy to drop the motor and gearbox in one piece rather lifting it out.

    Nah but i herd about your ride mate! I was driving nice and slow on my L's like a good boy...

    I just had a VWWC visitation.

    Too dark for photos but
    Josh, Jarred. racerachy, waterboy and waterboy snr (waterdad?) were just here.

    Just departed my driveway in a blaze of tyre smoke, squealing tyres and the unmistakable aroma of mouldy Mk1 interiors.

    A total of 4 Mk1s and a Mk3 in the drive, quite a sight.

    Fixed a loose wire on Josh's car and topped up the oil a bit.

    Should be a good Golf turn out at DOVW this year.

    remember i also have an 8v in my mk1
