No such thing exist for the mk1 passat unfortunatley

the rear suspension in these oldies are a bit odd hahaha. The shock is not inside the spring like golfs are (macferson strut i think is the correct name). And the fronts have the steering rods connected to the macferson strut haha

Custom setup look to be the only way to go
Surely there would be SOMEthing in Europe?

The split type seperate shock/spring was unique to the Typ 32 Passat and Australian assembled Typ 82 Fox, the German assembled Fox had 'coilover' same as the B2.

I use custom rear springs and Gabriel Red Ryder Gas, and soon to be fitted 'Bilstein B6' front cartridge to complement the larger 20mm front swaybar. Bilstein part is used on all Audi 80 chassis upto B4. For front air conversion see the thread on B1 owners group forum site http://dog.mp3equipped.com/dog/. A few people on that forum use Volvo 740 rear springs which firm things up..

I use 14" Cookie cutters on mine

Love it mate! My Dad had one that age in the late 70', then an 81' GLD till 2000, which had quad round headlamps and a different rear end, such a nice car, even if it was gutless.

And yours looks like a timewarp!
