I have a couple of guards. White or red. $100 gets you a good un.
I'll probably take you up on one of those panels Matt, Colour doesnt matter as it will be stripped off anyway. Cheers!

I got the door cards off eBay ($60 ) and added the red strip myself....going for this sort of look that some of the 16v's had. Can you see a theme anywhere here? Wont be a VR6.

Havent got the Dynamat in yet...but am probably doing that in the next few weeks, ive decided im going to put it all back together and get it painted later. I'll fix a few more panels (to primer) and get interior back in (dynamtted)....then motor, then brakes/suspension/wheels.

Who cares if a few of my panels are Mt Druitt racing grey for a while! I figured ill be waiting forever to get it resprayed otherwise.

Repainted and new badged trim and skirts...turned out alright...billion times better than what they were. The skirts are slightly damaged so i might be after a new pair, depends how many cable ties are required to refit!

How did you spray the skirts and trim? Did you sand them smooth or use primer and just spray or just spray them black?

Also, how did you put the red line on, paint or stick on stripe?

I wanted to do the same thing but didnt know what was the best way.

    Looks fantastic!

Used Primer and Black Bumper Paint, im going to try out using some clear spray laqeur on a test bit of trim to see if i can get a bit more shine as well.

The red line on the door cards is 2 layers of 9mm pin striping tape. 1 layer doesnt work as its very slightly transparent. You just have to make sure that when you stick it down you get all the air bubbles out of it and keep pushing it down. The dash is a different story, tried the tape and didnt work due to the kind of plastic it is and the contours of it. Ended up extremely carefully hand painting and laquering to protect it. Its not totally finished yet but the bit i have turned out pretty well.

    Thanks for the feedback guys!

Wired up the Recaros today. Its quite sad how excited i am over my seat moving up and down!

Wasn't too hard, needed a 20A piggyback fuse, power to both seats and earth. Just got to heat shrink it all.

The passenger seat motor seemed to be stuck but according to this thread on vortex i might be able to "jump start" it so might give that a go tomorrow.

Also, the passenger seat auto reclined (fell back on its own), caused by the rubber ring perishing and the damn screw I need to take off to get at it had been buggered by the last owner. So anyway, thinking ghetto, I got some heat shrink and wrapped it around the inside of the mechanism and voila, no auto recline!!

Ordered my Dynamat last week as well so that will be going in next weekend.
