On a 84mm stroke that would make it 2332cc.
I hope there's some very special headstuds in there or those heads will exit the car via the hubcaps.
Should be an awful lot of fun, I've built a few strokers before but I stayed away from the 94mm barrels.
Do everything you can to manage the heat in the engine bay.
All the tinware, new tinware seals, oil cooler, stand off the decklid etc.
Pete
I'm pretty sure stu's ordering a stand off decklid (kit?}
I would have voted to hot rod the 1500, but alas stu wants the power!
I can't wait to help him rebuild it before it goes in, I've always wanted to work on a beetle for some reason
Stu's also mentioned a few times to me before that it's a 2332 aswell.
What sort of power will that motor make?
LOL @ 11sec.......you might need a few of these, naws lots of naws:

haha yeh i can't remember the name for it... but there are studs you can get that go the whole way through the case...i will be getting thee asap if it doesn't already have them!
should be a fun little engine...was told it lifted the fronts when it was in dean's old manx and easily did 3rd in the dry...but then again i have to see it to believe it!
i'm going to run an external oil cooler with a thermo switch and a fan next to the gear box... that should suffice with the deak l stand offs i hope, unless there are other options?

Very nice Stu. I just read up to date. Should go quite hard although i don't know if you'll "enjoy" driving it on the street with a massive cam and carbies..
But hey, It's a 2.3 so it shouldn't be too bad!
