Cars looking great, the hard work you have put into it shows. I would buy if I wasn't being all mature and sensible saving for bricks 'n' morter.

    Nice looking Mk1 GTI mate!

I really think you should drive it somewhere where there's a bit more space and get a load of photos of it, walk 360 around it and snap away, get the engine bay and interior, the whole lot. Bet you'd get some interest if you done that, plus, i'd love to see more of it

Just read your thread mate, fantastic work!!

+1 on more pictures !! Id love to see the interior hehe.
I also agree on keeping the old little bits, you would sell something, eg. for 20 just to get rid of it, but when you actually need it, it will cost you twice as much to find. Haha its just not worth it, i've been collecting a whole shed of parts for 3-4 years now

I Totaly agree!!! i just been real busy i would love so much to do a vid of her
shaving time from the future as it takes corners in a flury of vortex like agression!!

Alas for now some static pics As promised better late than never
The door cards are in great condition, the drivers card could use a new wood backing on the lower corner
but, the vinyl the most important thing is immaculate.
The rubber seals are so good their is a rather strong amount of positive air pressure when you close the door
behind you or on the way out.
I would love to get hold of a new roof lining as this one has or 2 marks but you cant be to picky.
Altho this one is in good condition considering the age of a mk1 golf, I guess you can always do better
That however doesn't take away from the fun of sitting in the drivers seat!
The parcel shelf is in timeless shape.
    the rear cards are 99%
the rear seats are well as good as it gets
the floor carpet hasn't any holes but shows a little fading hear or their
the dash has excellent shape no cracks and is now sporting an old pioneer tape deck from the era

    enjoy

AWESOME!! I have this car's brother, but in original-unrestored-rusty-needs-lots-of-work state. Your thread is quite inspirational and I can fully appreciate the efforts you've gone to to keep it as original as possible. Top work.
