Im running JE forges in my 16v but you have even more forged piston options than mentioned such as Mahle and Wiseco i am about to order two sets of Wiseco forged pistons for the twin eng soon for $439 a set 0.40" oversize 8v and thats coated with rings. Check out www.importperformanceparts.net they have Mahle, JE and wiseco. Wiseco are $439 and JE are $489 a set with rings you cant go wrong and their is a choice of oversizes and compression ratios aswell! What are you going to do with the cast ones from techtonics now?

I know i have more options, but i like JE and i have confidence in them. I checked out Import performance parts before. They only quote 2.0l stuff and not the comp ratio i want. :frown:

I'll be selling the cast pistons..

Edit: Just emailed IPP anyway regarding the pistons i'm after, so we'll see what happens.

Figured i'd post some pics of the head lining when we did it.. All that time ago.. :biggrin:

Grey velour. My mum made it and her and i fitted it. Not bad for a Janomie sewing machine huh?

Guess what....

I actually did something on the goof today! Woo go me.

I finally got around to putting the side bumper clips on that i modified. I've cut the tabs off the back that are used to push through the body and lock in so that i could urathane them onto the guard. Because my golf is a 77 it originally came with chrome bumpers, so no holes.

I had urethane in mind, but i went to auto one to ask the guys what would be best to use. They said "do you ever want to get them back off?" and i said no. So they got the good stuff and said use that, it'll pull the paint off before it lets go.

The rear bumper doesn't need the clips so i won't be fitting the back ones.
