Yeah rayburn is REALLY painful.. Especially on the inside of your leg when you're welding in shorts all day...

Good onya for having a crack.. You'll probably make a bit of a mess to start with, but you'll improve and it's all a learning experience..

I inherited a pair of arc welding goggles from my grandfather and used them the first time I tried out my Arc Welder. Needless to say my face was very very burnt.

Those helmets do a lot more than keeping the bright light out of you eyes.

Yeah, I was young and foolish once too.

I guess there's a reason you can't buy Arc Welding goggles in the shops anymore.

who can geuss what face dom calls this one??!?

yes that is Dom rolling the lips on my arches. Wonder what I'd need to do that for??.. hmmm....

I also kept at it with the welding. ran out of Gas so not quite finished yet.

Thanks Pete for the tips, esp the flapper disk, worked a treat! - and I never would have thought of it either.

Got some shaving done. I didn't take pics of it all, cause it'd be boring, but you'll get the full effect once the car is done!

yes that'll be touched up, don't worry..

update, with yesterday and todays work.

finished off all the welding. and already laying bog and the smoothing continues!

    pics speak for them selves.

oh, and don't mind the pop corn!

    straight... nice...

This is all the trouble I went through with the roof. all the bare metal spots are/were rust spots (from bird poo etc} not high spots... infact, now, they're low spots! nothing a bit of feathering and highfill wont fix.
