Well that's it for a few weeks. I'm working fulltime for the next 2 weeks at the Aus open. So it'll be hard to get any proper work done, due to lack of time & energy after work!

As it sits - no welding or bogging\smoothing done. Most of the doors are ready to be hit with high fill & smooth, 2 need cleaning up on the inside. both gaurds need a bit of bogging but are pretty straight over all. roof still has a few spots of rust that need to be hit. & I still have to re-bog the rear left quarter. most of the door jams & the boot are ready to prime & spray.

Probably about 1 weeks work there. Hopefully by end of 2nd week of feb {14th/15th} it'll be painted/finishing top coats. Then some mechincal repairs (finally! yay} & a service then put it back together. hopefully RWC, Reg'd by the end of feb!

    Well, that's the plan anyways!

I've decided to add some white golfs for inspiration:

    minor but important update.

I bought mah paint today! yay!

The paint + thinners was about $225, and I still need a bit of primer aswell! That was 6 litres, which will be PLENTY for the whole car, inc., eng bay if I ever do it.

Bit more than I was hoping for, but it should be good. Will be buying a gun and compressor soon too, well next pay day really.

If also finished the tennis too, so I can start getting stuck into it again! looking on track too get some primer on her by next friday and get stuck into some final smoothing!

    I'm pretty excited.

    another small update:

got some more toys today! well just the one. Got my gun. neat little unit, nothing fancy, but should do the job. I decided to go with a gravity feed, rather than suction, just cause it's what I've used before. It has a nice and small pot on the top so it will be nice and light to manuvre.

I won't get paid till next wens for oooh.. the other 90 hours that I did at the tennis, so the compressor will have to wait, unless I borrow the money... off mum

I don't think I'll get any primer-ing done till next week probably now. that's what happens when you loose motivation, even though I'm so close! gah!

I did some welding today! woot!

yes, I, did it. got sick of waiting around for favors, so I thought bugger it, i'll give it a go myself! - how hard can it be!

actually not too hard. just fiddled around with the settings till I got some that I was comfortable with, and hey presto, I was welding.

I'm not saying that I'm any good or anything. Someone who actually knew what they're doing could've done what I did in half the time, but never the less.

I'm pretty sure I got enough penetration on the welds, and most of them cleaned up pretty good after grinding them back. Minimal if any panel damage too. I think

Still have more to do tomorrow though, but I'm getting there! including some stitching, but fingers crossed.

and pics, cause it actually happened.

just make sure the surface is clean! the first pic looks like the paint is still close to the welds, OH OH and make sure u primer the underside oof the welds so there is no rust in a few years
