I'm pretty sure it's the glow plugs, 2 or 3 probably. Hopefully I'll get around to changing them soon. We'll see.

Got my car back from roadworthy, with a nice short list.

    1-Drivers seatbelt not retracting.
    2-Spare tyre not secure.
    3-Wiper assemb. worn.
    4-Both wheels cyl's leaking [rear].
    5-Windscreen washers not working.

Pretty easy list. For 2 I just have to remove the spare when I reshow it. For 1, I think I just have to remount part of the belt. 3, I already have brand new ones thanks for Dean @ VP. For 5, well just fill up the bottle!

5 I am a little worried about, since I've never played around with rear cyls before. Then again. I never knew how to paint before. or weld. I reckon I'll be ok. hopefully I'll be able to raid my 76er wreck for the appropriate parts!

jarrod thats a small list welldone! they are pretty picky in melb, cant you boys find a mate wink wink. drum brake assemblies are easy and you can get new wheel cylinders with a drum brake replacement kit from any bendix brake stockist.

    That's an easy lot.

I've got wheel cylinders galore already out if you want 'em.

I can also loan you a factory spare wheel strap for the RWC if you like. I've got a perfect one I keep just for roadworthies.

it seems a lot of the old dodgy roady places have been hunted down and had their licences revoked. Thats certainly the case for the couple i used to know

Ah Pete. good to 'see' you. Hopefully the ones off my 76er will do. I can just take out the spare wheel too apparently, that's fine. Wait a minute Pete, are you back already?

And william, mate, there's no need for a dodgy roadie on this car. everything's legit. almost.

    WoooooooooooooooooooooooooooT!!!

I got it roadworthy today! The rear wheel assemblies off the 76'er were good enough to pass roadworthy, except then I had the brake warning light come on, which meant the couldn't pass it! Thankfully Andrew came to the rescue and it's fixed for now. The odo seems to have stopped working rencently, which almost cost me the roadworthy, but luckily cars pre 86 don't have to have a working odo, which is well, odd I geuss. most importantly it's past and now I can book it for rego! wooot!
