Good work on the turn around.

Keep the 9A head, and just pop the new bottom end in?

    Dont need to?

I as I just used a complete ABF now.. (which is in theory far superior to a 9A / KR Combo.)

I just used the KR Manifold and K Jet injection

    she is powerful as now!!!

This was the ABF when i got it.

    I cleaned it

This was the ABF having the Various MK2 bits bolted on to it. while the KR was being removed from the MK2 in the back ground

This is it reinstalled and looking 100% Stock and looking just like the KR

Also forgot to mention I now have it on Coil overs

and my new 2.25 Custom Exhaust System!

    Ahh I see.

wasn't sure how the ABF head went with K-jet, in regards to manifolds etc.

For the train spotters out there also... I installed pop out windows. too

Few points & Changes for this car...

    - I acquired another subframe the other day, I have planned to lower the entire engine by 16mm,

I don't see how weight a little closer to the ground will hurt anything.. CV Geometry will only change slightly...

The Main reasoning behind this is to lower the ABF down and bring the engine sitting to a closer to factory height in the Engine bay... (ABF and 2E blocks are 16mm taller then their earlier counterparts! as most of you will know)

Unfortunately swapping to the ABF has caused a few minor annoyances like the Engine Hitting the bonnet under load. and also pulling the Exhaust Manifold (Super Sprint headers) hard up against the exhaust tunnel..

-While all of this will be occurring, I will be reverting the car back to a NON-PAS rack because of the endless annoying issues I have been having with this Power Assisted Steering System... (pile of ****)

    interesting.

If you do some reading up, its quite common to loose about 15mm from the rear engine mount when doing a VR6 conversion, obs with the mk 3 subframe. (which Is what I did).

    Is this what you'd planned?

I have already Chopped and Dropped the Cups that the Engine mounts Seat in by 15mm so essentially acheiving the same thing... I don't feel comfortably taking 15mm off the Cast alloy mount itself... :-S
