Haha thanks dude.. must be nothing then... hrrmm so where is the other lifting point on the engine .....

    ---

Modfied the front bracket yesterday after work to work with the 02a quite simple just relocated one of the screwing lugs that normally hangs out down the bottom up to a higher point....

Mounted the MK3 Gear Shift box

The Back most point was later secured using a combination of Nutserts/RivetNuts and Cap Screws Strong as!

Now on to sorting the Power Steering Lines.. this makes me a touch nervous...... and being lhd its a prick to bolt on and off the lines... have to get them shortened at the hose doctor.

Almost finished with the Central Locking system.... and hoping to have the dash back in this weekend... that will signify a huge step in progress for me....

Fitted up the New Temporary Wheel yesterday doo

    16x7 Technomagnesio ET30 Wheels (205/45/16)

Im not in to super lows so hopefully this wont rub..

Monday night was good got a reasonable whack done...

    - Exhaust Heat Sheild re installed

My Girl was helping she had the vacuum out and lifted all the carpets and vacuumed the floor pan and also all the carpets the interior is spotless which is a bonus! and something that needed to be done so i can tidy all the wiring etc...

While she was doing that I finally completed the Braking system on the front having to use a combination of mk4 Bora 4 Motion Brake lines and twisting the hard line around and bending the bracket the lines seem to be sweet and allow for the turning of the steering axle etc..

Then my lovely assisted manned the brake pedal while I crawled underneath and bled a completely empty brake system.... (took fliping ages!!!!) but the brakes were bled finally **** hot!!!

Drive shafts are installed and semi torqued down which was another step!

Tuesday night wasn't too bad either.. this car came with the Hydraulic front engine mount (something I wasn't really interested in keeping + it was FUBAR) I did have a Solid Rubber Front mount also that I could have used but that would have been no fun!.. + After buying a Complete BFI Stealth Engine mount kit from Dubaddiction a few months back I was adamant I was going to use the whole lot!)

My Cousin was In this evening we figured out what we were gonna do and cracked in to it... We butchered up the Factory Hydraulic mount to use it as a base for the BFI Insert to Seat on... once that was removed we found a High Tensile bolt that was almost thick enough and slid in to the centre of the bush. Parted off the head and drilled and tapped a M10 Thread right down the centre...

Once that was on and we found the correct angle for the mounting bolt we layered on some heave Mig wire with some very deep penetration for good measure (haha wouldn't want to read that out of context)

    With Insert Seated on

Going to paint it up today with some Por15 and we should be ready to start bolting everything back in for the engine!

(engine aiming to be back in thursday night)

This mount Modification is experimental... I'm not worried if it fails as it will just prompt a different attempt at modding!

Front Wheels are on and car is back on the ground now too

    Check out my Camber bro!!!

    hahaha

Also... Power Steering Lines are now brand new and Correct Lengths! Whaka yeah!

Well the Weekend netted some pretty good results...

Engine is now back in and bolted up! Drive Shafts and all and the Cable to Hyro setup seems to be working fine too...

Drove the car forwards 2 feet ha!

The Front Engine mount Mod seems to have worked also!

Spent the Rest of the afternoon adjusting cable lengths etc (as a few things have moved since before the gearbox swap.)

All the Horribly Grey Cable Tubing I am slowly cutting off and replacing with Black Crinkle Tubing (much nicer and more flexible!

Engine Starts and Runs and Idles like a Trooper

Bit fricken loud at the moment with just the headers (no exhaust tube or mufflers)

Hoping to drive it this week and get it all road legal...

Just some more minor **** too also to get the Power Steering all plumbed up...
