Pete, That's how the rads are in the MK2.
I'd be surprised if the pump was dead. Easy enough to remove the stat and test it. The pump could be checked at the same time.

Now I think about it , of course it is, there's the plastic studs on the bottom of the tamks that drop into hole in the rad support panel.Originally Posted by h100vw
I drilled new holes to mount the MK2 rad in the MK1.
