hah. I cant make up my mind. I love the RS' but they are so done to death. from a distance in the right light the BMW E30 ones i painted look sweet too.
One day when i can afford it i'll buy another pair of RS001's...

On the dyno again today. Hopefully for the last time in a while after the new injectors are in. Aiming for around 300bhp at the flywheel heheh

I really love that people can get a smile from the car, or learn something thru my own ups and down during the build, and that you can do it if you keep focused and going.
The power increase wasnt huge today in the end. We managed 265hp at the front wheels and increased torque, and with these bigger injectors they're only running at 70% duty cycle.
The bad news is the K04 is now being pushed to its maximum (around 19psi at peak), and today confirmed what i'd been fearing for a while. The turbo has been showing signs of tiredness and today its started seeping a little oil thru the charge piping when hot. There was some reasonable engine knock and there's also been heaps of black chaff out the exhaust lately. All this means a near dead turbo feeding warm oily charge air into the combustion chamber.
It actually also explains the black plugs and piston tops.
I'll have a look at my spare k04 and see whether its worth refurbing and putting on, or just getting a Garrett GT2560R (GT28R)??
The tuner also mentioned a disco potato?? Any thoughts???
Anyway, its also much smoother than before to drive so I'm happy for now
