The outlet is from the engine and used to go the bottom of the S3's expansion tank.

That sounds alright mate, whack it on there, looks like its meant to be there. As long as there is flow, it will be ok. Just check the fans come on before you go for a fang in it. i have seen half a dozen conversions and not one water pipe setup is the same.

Yeah, i'm just worried coz the turbo line pictured could be a return or a feed line! I'm not sure, so that's what i need to know.

I don't want to be pumping water into it from both ends!!!!

Does the hose to the bottom of the expansion tank drain out back to the engine or pump in?

The bottom line an the VW expansion tanks feeds, the motor, the top lines are the return, from the rad and from the top of the motor (over flow) it acts like a swirl pot which I have on mine.

Got a couple more pics from today. Pretty much the final day for me as im off to Adelaide for two weeks and the last stuff will mostly be done while i'm away.

Just basically fine-tuned the piping fitment for Joe to finish off.

It finally looks like a car again!!

    Hi.
Has anyone here converted their quad-light GTI grille to the normal grille? I've found a NOS twin light (one light per side) with the red stripe but I'm not sure about whats involved in changing the setup for the high-beam?

I'd keep my normal quad-light grille but the rhs hibeam wont fit in front of the intercooler

I wont have many updates as i'm still in Adelaide.

    Cheers
