I reckon he meant mk2/mk3. Mk1's have a different setup.

Well I can't believe it. I took a risk and drove the GTI down to Denmark (~500k's south of Perth) for a NYE camping trip, fully expecting the extremely tired RV to 'cark it' during or after the long haul. But here I am back home with a seemingly still happy engine!!
What a machine! Bag the RV all we like, it's been a real tough nut to break despite the utter caning I give it on a daily basis
Anyhoo, happy 'twenny-ten' to all!
Went to Bingers' place the other night and finished stripping the 02A. All looks A-OK. He's gonna give it a quick clean up for me and we'll stick the Peloquin in the next week just in time!

Mechanical clutch lever to avoid converting pedal box to hydraulic, fresh from Barcelona...
I'm almost there now. Just a few new bolts and a shim or two for the diff install and thats about it!
