nice mate! Holy HELL though, that rust is unbelievable!
Has it got any more cancer??
Found myself on Friday towing home my new project. Its a 1976 Audi Fox.
A man visited work inquiring about the B1 Passat parked on the road. We got to talking and he mention he had an Audi and asked if I wanted it. Of course I said yes, despite the lack of time or room.
The next afternoon and $150 later its sitting at the back of my yard.
After 2 years of sitting in a barn it fired up and runs faultlessly. Body work is in serious need of repair. Interior is shabby but the hood lining is pretty good. Anyways in time it will get the 2.0L out of the Passat while keeping the 70's period theme. New interior and a respray in the same colour. Chrome trims will be bought back to life as well as the additions of chrome wing mirrors.

VW: it aint just a car, its a way of life
There are few things more satisfying in life than finding a solution to a problem and implementing it

I know! I nearly walked away from it but I couldnt resist it. He gave me a spare boot lit that just has surface rust. Thank f**k for that haha.
All the other rust appears to be surface rust. I haven't pulled the carpets up to check but suspect the floors have some serious rust as well.
Apart from the rust the car is actually pretty straight.
