Some more updates... On Tuesday I was at my APR dealer Sportech to install a few more mods to the R...
Here is the progress!
Stripping of the front end to remove stock intercooler...
Stock intercooler vs my new APR intercooler!
My expensive APR intercooler!
Fitment of my intercooler...
My VWR subframe engine mounts were also installed...
An interesting mod... The Golf 6 suffers from a type of 'subframe shift' This can be heard (A clonking sound) when reversing out your driveway and engaging forward gears again to drive off. The copper washer/bushes installed by Sportech have removed this shifting and loose subframe issue!
The new APR 76mm Downpipe replacing my older ETuners one. This downpipe is also decatted but has no resonator and has no reducers. So it's a full 76mm right through! It sounds nasty!
With mileage sitting at 7600kms, I felt a good oil change is necessary!! I strongly believe in frequent oil changes and Sportech did this for me too...
Car is really unbelievably strong. Few other things planned for my cabby and will update as I go along!
