Off to Sandown today for round 3 of the Victorian Super Sprint Championships.
Air box now fitted so hopefully I'm within the 75dB noise limit.
Nice one Peter
The article is mega cool and to me in an 70/80's style look inside
Though in my opinion it was way more worthy of the larger cover space but still cool
Looking forward to the paper versions

Good luck Pete!
If I wasn't head in the books studying, I'd come down for a gander! Looks like nice weather out!
Great weather today. We started late and here was a lot of recoveries today so I only got three runs in.
Here's some pics.
There's more pics on a new website Jodie has built to chronicle the car.

Best run today was a 1:29.
Had a few exciting moments as I was exploring how far I could go with deep braking.
I'm not liking these Girling G60s on the track. Apart form being heavy their not giving me the kind of feel I want. They do stop you pretty quick though.
I dropped the car to the lowest it can go on the Konis and I mounted the spoiler lower.
I'm not happy with the spoiler yet I think it can go lower yet and I need to finish off the ends.
Videos - maybe tomorrow, my chest and arms are sore from wrestling the Hoosiers around the track, CBF right now.
Fuel economy is better than white which is a nice surprise as 20L of 105 octane race fuel is about $80.

In order to bring the noise levels down I installed an airbox to replace the foam aircleaner.
I didn't get pinged for noise today so I guess it did the job.
It's a Jenvey air box and a BMC pod filter.
I had to cut the airbox up and re fibreglass it so as to fit it under the bonnet line.
The trumpets are new too. I had to fit shorter ones to make fitting and removing the air box possible. It's all quite tight in there.
I also replaced the fuel rail feeding the injectors. The one I that I got with the Jenveys had barbed fittings and I had a few issues with leaks. These are Jenvey rails but have the AN -6 fittings.

Fastest in class, 8 seconds better than White and a VERY consistent set of times in your last session. You must be very happy with the progress, Peter.
Plus you took time to help me get home, again
I'm guessing they called the day soon after I left?
