Awsome build mate, that's one stunning vehicle
quality of work is outstanding
Small things amuse small minds but do also require a stupid amount of time to research and procure.
These are bits for the brake system.
4 way M10 brake unions
Stop light switch (I'm going to put one in both front and rear circuits)
BMW Brake Pressure sender (So I can log brake pressures, again, front and rear.
and all the little bits that make up the connector for the pressure sensors.
For those of you interested in logging, the BMW sensors are a lot cheaper than the motorsport equivalents, are M10 and will read to 250Bar. Their curve is linear and the data sheet is readily available to program your logger.
Bosch part number is 0 265 005 303
BMW part number is 34 51 1 165 467
Part numbers for the connectors can be found in the data sheet. http://apps.bosch.com.au/motorsport/...ghpressure.pdf

Very techo Pete, logging brake pressure in each circuit. Will be some good info coming out of this me thinks.
Any reason why you went with a hyd brake light switch and not a mechanical version ??
All coming together nicely anyway.
Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...
If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??
Cheers,
Grant...
Individual brake pressure.. That's pretty tricky. When I was crewing on a Fujitsu car a few years ago, even that only had front/rear.

Just front/rear Chris, I got a couple of spare connectors.
I went with the hydraulic switches because I couldn't figure out an elegant way to mount a mechanical one on the pedal box. All the likely locations were in places I might step on.

I'll second that. Best bit about reading your threads/posts Pete is the level of detail combined with your expertise makes it a quality learning experience every time!
Expressed as an equation for awesomeness: Detailed Posts X Expertise = Kick Ass Thread
PS - Good idea heading to Purple Pig, got shafted a few years back buying an OEM tank-to-filler pipe.
Hi Peter

I've made all the brake hard lines and roughed them in. There's still the clutch lines to do but I don't know where I'm going to go through the firewall yet.

Pulled the beam and tank out again today to change the breather hose now that I've decided on a roll over valve setup.
With that done it was time to install the filler.
I knocked the bearings into the rear discs and greased them up today so they got fitted up.
Waiting on bits in the mail to finish off the rear brakes.
