Panel work is one thing I have NO idea about. The only sheet metal work I do is prototype parts (mostly stainless) and I make my own jigs and tooling for that. No much is transferable unfortunately..

Just purchased an ABF motor and a 02A gearbox. Unfortunately they come with a Seat Toledo attached.

I drove it today, it's certainly got potential.

The race car's a long way off built yet. Might install the motor and box stock for a R&D shake down run or two. Might even use the EFI initially just to see how the combo goes and see where I should focus on developing.

I have no experience with the ABFs, but from research, they seem to be quite responsive to modification. I guess it's the usual deal.. Making pretty good HP is easy, making more than everyone else.. That's where it gets tricky.

Only just de-registered this week.

ABFs make 150 HP stock. I reckon thats a pretty good starting point to upgrade from.

The Toledo claims the following specs 110 kW (150 PS; 148 bhp) @ 6,000 180 N·m (133 ft·lbf) @ 4,800

Another reason I went for the ABF is that aftermarket support is huge and there's heaps of information and experience out there

Ive got a tip for you unique to the toledo. Get rid of the stupid long cable that attaches to the remote speedo sensor and buy a vr6 one and plug it straight to the gearbox to save some space!
