Dodgy panel beater.
You still need that beam? Also when are we guna go crusing in the truck?
I bought this mk1 gls over the weekend and had it delivered tuesday.
The rhr wheel arch is/was a bit hammered but with a little help form my best mates we managed to knock it into some sort of shape.
the plan at the moment is to do enough to get it registered and then later on do a decent resto.

Will be good to see what you end up doing with this, defiantly a great base to start with!

Nice work, mate.
Good to see another Mk1 being fixed up and not scrapped.

I used to own that car. I talked to the previous owner at SEDF about the accident, it sounded a lot worse than it looks. Wasn't a bad car, good to see its getting back on the road.

the wheel arch is the easy part, the sill is a bit nasty. from what i can tell the wheel was hit from behind and pushed into the sill.
i will bang up some more pics later
a little more progress on the golf
i pulled out the rear suspension beam
and it's stuffed
and so is where it mounts to the body
yeah... this should be a bit fun to fix
as will the sill panel
nasty looking.
I'm sure you'll be right though!
btw, I think I've got those two side trims if you're missing them..
