    Beautiful !! Why pay money for someone to fix it when you can do a bit of DIY work aye ?

    Good work mate, its great that its being fixed. Did the same with mine, and it was well worth it !

    some good news...
    if you look at the photo with the youngest kid in it, you will notice around the fuel filler is all sucked in.
    well i removed the screws that go through the qtr panel into the filler neck and hooray the panel came out nice and flat. the wheel has hit the fuel neck and pushed it towards the centre of the car hence this result...
    happy!

    got a rear beam off peter jones, thanks pete. i have pulled it all to bits in preparation for painting then rebuild.
    i also knocked out the mounting point on the chassis rail, still needs some dressing up but looking the goods.

    Those rear beam bushings can be gotten from most parts places, they're made by Fulcrum Suspensions / SuperProPoly

    SuperPro Polyurethane Bushes - Fulcrum Suspensions

    The part number you're after is

    SPF1555K Rear Beam Axle Pivot Bushing

    good bushings too! I remember that was one of the first mods i did to my first mk1, and since the old bushings were so bad, the difference was AMAZING.

    OP - good working getting the car back on the right track. Looks like a very solid shell!
