Change the plate at the bottom of the gearstick. (Try adjusting it first)

Or grind a bit off the bottom of the plate under the car, so that you can move it over further.

Make sure all the bushings are ok, as if there is play in em, you`ll never manage it.

I adjust em by setting the box in 5th with the 13mm nut loose. Get someone to hold the stick in the optimum position for 5th and then do up the nut. All should then be achieveable.

you need to mod the defriblator. turn it 180 deg and mount the box upside down.

    hahaha

    how u doin knupflog?
    Great to hear from you

I replaced all the linkage bushes. Works a treat!! Kit was for a 5 speed and so it came with a different shape rod with the two ball clips on each end. It bends a different way. (sorry for the very poor descriptions but i have no idea what its called) lol.

Anyways i didnt end up using that 5 speed rod. the original 4 speed one work far better.
Also i adjusted a bolt under the car where the long rod from the shifter meets the weird ball joint thing. (im so sorry haha). this was so it could go across into 5th.

Dont know if it is because of the short shift I have or what? but all the gears are nice and close.

Hope this helps if u can understand it. might have to show you lol
