sticking a 1.9Tdi into a Polo wouldnt be too hard would it?
the hardest bit would be finding a Post '97 1.9Tdi engine and box with all the trimmings.
give me the run down on whats involved, any chance that the ECU will be a plug and play affair? or is aftermarket required etc.

Yes you will need the ECU for the rotary pump as it's controlled by the computer in part, for the fuel pump you will also need to set your throttle up for fly by wire as all TDi's used it and other odds and ends. Might as well just get a current Polo TDi for the cost, if it was in a Mk1 it would be worth it IMO.
