List is current as I know it... I havent been to the post office for a couple of days.

Dont forget, for your chance to win your entry fee back you need to have your entry in and paid by the end of this week.

Dont forget also its not a VW only event. Ask your mates to come along, doesnt matter what they drive, fast or slow.

I've been a bit tardy getting my entry together, but I'll be there too (in the type 1 class) in the mk1 cabby turbo diesel.

Should have my forms emailed to you in the morning Chris.

On bonnet restraints - you can buy a nice little steel cable job that is heat-shrink covered and has a steel carabeena at one end and a d shackle at the other end (eBay!) which can easily be mounted with one end fixed to the top of the slam panel/radiator supplor through a hole ,and the other end clipped into the bonnet.

I fitted one to the cabby last year for this event and scrutineers were fine with it. All I had to do to fit it to the car was drill 2 8mm holes in places you will never notice

road registered cars are not required to have any supplementary bonnet restraints if they are fitted with the usual 2 stage mechanism as per all modern cars. ie pull the cable release inside, then the lever under the bonnet to open.

Old beetles for example that only have the cable release need something. But it can be as simple as an old belt through the handle and around the bumper.

I'm staying in the Wakefield Park cabins on Friday night. I'm thinking that to speed things up on Saturday morning I might do some licence/documentation checking on Friday night. Not sure where I would do it. Maybe at the Paragon or a pub/club. How many would take up that offer?

Id be keen to do that on friday night amazeer.

I read that the cams licence and club member card needs to be presented. my issue is i am missing my veedub club membership card but i have the letter from VW club saying im a member. I also have my member number. Do i still need the card in this instance?

It would be easier if you had a card but there will be someone from club vw there who will have a membership listing. Members of other clubs will need their card
