Of course not, Steve. I don't think anyone's offended. We all want this to make sense. The reality is that we will have to wait and see; it is inappropriate to speculate on a public forum.

Here are a couple more articles I've read that include some quotes and tributes not published before:
Crash driver Sean Edwards' mother told him not to go | brisbanetimes.com.au
Rising sports car star Sean Edwards killed in accident in Australia (UPDATED) | MotorSportsTalk
There don't appear to be any more news updates as of this morning. It's still at the forefront of my mind and I'll post when there's new information.
Signed. What an excellent proposition. It's very touching and human.
Update on the driver - Our wishes are with Will & his family, another tough week.
Holzheimer still critical after undergoing surgery - Speedcafe
Thanks Guy. What an ordeal. On top of having to deal with all of his injuries, he is likely to be a very sad lad. Tough situation to deal with, especially being so young and learning the sport. Maybe when all is said and done, they'll rename Turn 6 or the straight section before it.
I've been away for a little while. The latest news I can find is this: Raceway crash survivor still unconscious
Better late than never, and since I started this thread, I feel the responsibility to update it.
An article from mid-November:
Injured race car driver William Holzheimer making slow recovery after fatal crash - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
And from mid-January:
After surviving a 220km/h raceway fireball, Will Holzheimer, 22, now has to learn to walk again
Apparently, there is no information concerning the cause of the crash.
I still throw my Golf R around this racetrack, but it hasn't been the same since this tragedy. Reminders like these are important, in my opinion.
