    Latest Upgrades

Got the car back from Sherrin Motorsport today after getting a bit of work done before the Dutton. Not that I need it for the Dutton but I will be doing Buller sprint later in the year so the car needed this done.

All the air bags have now been disabled and I have replaced the stock steering wheel with a Sparco #383. I also picked up two spare Oz Superleggera 18 x 8 ET 35 wheels and chucked a couple of Toyo Proxess R888 on them. At least now if I get a flat on stage I can change to a proper matching wheel & tyre instead of a space saver Got two because the tyres are directional and most events allow you to carry two spares.

Also had them upgrade the roll bar padding to FIA spec as I felt the other padding wasn't going to cut it and I probably would have been pulled up at scrutineering.

    Looking good.

What's the betting you need that bottom spare wheel! Got my fingers crossed so as not to jinx you.

Hope it runs fast and straight for you.

Shouldn't be a problem to get to takes about 10 seconds to unstrap them. Fingers crossed I don't have to change one, that's what Andrew is coming up from Tassie to do for us I thought

Thanks for the kind words and encoragement guys.

    Cheers Al

Personally funded but I have started to pick up some sponsorship lately from the likes of KW & Inmotive, VF Engineering, Waxit.com.au etc.

Cage was done by Norm Singleton Fabrication who is in Samford here in Queensland. He has been building cages for race cars for longer than I have been alive I imagine and came highly recommended from a number of competitors up here. Sorry no pictures of the build of the cage.

If your in Queensland and would like to have a closer look drop me an IM and I'll send you my contact details and you can drop out anytime. I'll also be in NSW in a few months for the NSW round of the Dutton.
