Motorsport= Big bucks. No matter what type it is. You just have to get used to it unfortunately. The only thing that varies is how big the bucks are.

It's worth it though. Well what you and i are doing is anyway. I think the "Bang for Buck" ratio is pretty good. And we can still enjoy our cars on the road.

For me a big cost is time as well as the dollars.

I've got to plan well within my time budget and not tackle too many things at once so I can be certain the car will actually be ready for the next event.

It takes a fair bit of planning and preparation to make sure everything goes smoothly.

It's good to go now, I just need to pop the new injectors in there and sort the tune. Once I'm happy with that I'll try the Volvo fuel distributor out. Because I run the volvo airbox anyway, it's a quick swap.

It needs a run, but I don't have a working temp gague yet! I'll pick the new VDO gauges up tomorrow and get them and the factory gauge working over the weekend.

It's fun to drive these cars on the road, they may not be the fastest in a stop light drag race, but when you get asked how fast does it go and you can quote your actual laptimes of Phillip Island and not some theoretical manufacturers spec or BS dyno HP reading, that's a special moment right there.

    Supp Regs are up!

I'll post off my entry tomorrow!

    http://www.holdenclub.com/

    Regs & entry form

Now all I've got to figure out which class I fall into.

    http://www.ffcc.asn.au/technical_inf...egulations.pdf

By the looks of this I should enter as modified due to the MK2 1800, unless anyone can prove that a GX K-Jet was ever fitted to a '79 Mk1. The rest of the car looks to be right for either Standard or modified classes.
