Going completely off topic, but:
seeing as BMW are pulling out, why don't VW or one of the million car companies they own go to F1................imagine a VW or Audi F1 car, don't see why it couldn't work?
What do you guys think?
Yeah i realise that, he would slot into Toro Rosso first though if/when he gets into F1 before red bull.
Would be good to see another Aussie in the mix.
Just looking on his site, he drives for the red bull F3 team. Makes good sense now

sounds good - lets face it the Veyron is VW!! nice and fast
they say that you can make a small fortune in motor racing - all you need to do is start with a big fortune!!
I suspect there would be very few manufacturers trying to get in with this economic climate.
Porsche competed in the early 60s and then had another bash supplying TAG engine to McLaren in the 80s where they won two constructors championships.
they tried again disasterously in 1991, supplying engine to the hapless Footworks team
2007 Audi RS4 with: APR ECU Upgrade; JHM Quick Shifter; Milltek Catback and Downpipes; KW V3 Coilovers; Argon Creative Carbon Fibre Splitters
Audi is pretty pressed with their Lemans racing and I heard a rumour that VW is maybe supplying engines for indy cars or some other fairly major US open wheel series next year.
It would be Audi that would do it over VW, they are the more "sporty" arm of the company. They would probably try and make a diesel F1 engine though

if VW supply engine to indy cars and they look very competitive, i cant see any reason why they wont join F1. thats what toyota did. they winning so many races in indy that they end up joing F1 for chalenge. but if that happend more likely would be called team audi. Going back to BMW pulling out this could be the chance for VW to join F1, is to buy BM or the old team owner Peter Sauber will end up buying it back.

it is still drivers championship points, so i would assume he'd keep what points he has if he moves to ferrari.
i think he'll give kimi a run for his money
