Nah not quite correct. Vettel thought his chassis tub was damaged so they gave him a totally new one. After Webbers big flip his car was knackered so they gave him Vettels old car. Webber was quoted as saying "there was nothing wrong with it". Vettel just needed an excuse to justify not being as quick as Mark in Spain and Monaco.
Then of course Mark went on to beat Vettel in Vettels old "damaged" car, AND with the old front wing at Silverstone hahaha!!

I think Webber has completely out-pshyched the young golden child hehehee! He has a very tough, steely old head on his shoulders after ten years of tough luck in F1, and its all paying off.

Interesting qulaifying result with the ferrari's splitting the red bulls. I wonder what the chances are of vettel and alonso getting tangled at the first corner...

First corner is always fun with the current crop of aggressive drivers.
Shaping up to be an interesting race. Will be interesting to see if the extreme tyres will come into play.
Hopefully the Ferraris have good race pace. Otherwise Webber is gonna be stuck behind alonso and he has one of the widest cars in the business.

...so, Ferrari haven't changed a bit. Always crying when someone else "breaks the rules" but only too keen to break them themselves. They aren't interested in sporting, only in winning (regardless of how stupid and dodgy they look).

Hate that team. Always have, always will.

Getting more exciting with the c'ship every week though!

They should be stripped of the win, I hope the WMSC hit them hard for what they did.

It was a clear breach of the rules and they have stated they will not contest the fine they got, so they are admitting guilt and should be punished.

Yet another reason to hate ferrari more!

Glad to see williams are making some headway with some good results of late, would be great to see them back up front again.

I dunno, thats a bit harsh. One of them would've won anyway. I just dont get it. Massa and Alonso could still win the title mathematically, and Ferrari would've got the 1-2 not matter who won so it all seems a bit pointless.

It's clear that although I like Fernando as a great driver, he is a snake and sees himself a number 1 team driver like Michael.

I dunno - I'll agree that it doesn't look good, but all of the "Teams" and drivers keep going on about how much it is a "Team effort" yada-yada. So the team bosses asked/told Massa to let Alonso by - for the good of the team. It was very evident that Alonso was quicker, so I don't really have a problem with a bit of team friendliness. The Shumi/Rubens situation a few years ago was different though, as Rubens was clearly quicker, plus Shumi and Ferrari didn't really need Shumi to win. Other than the rules specifically forbidding team orders, I don't really see why people are getting so hit-up about this. Look at other team sports with an individual "glory boy" like the Tour de France where the other team members are in the race, but understand they are in it for the team and not just their own good - so they let the team leader win etc. *shrug*

Onto the RBR team - what a terrible start from Vettel, and what a stupid strategy for Mark. Pulling Vettel in early to put him in clear air was a smart move for sure. But Webber was doing fine on the soft tyres still, so there was no need to pull him in early too. Even a layman could see there was no way he'd come out in clean air given how close Vettel was to the next car when he came out of the pits. That move really gifted the McLarens their positions ahead of Mark.

Otherwise I think it was a pretty boring race to be honest. The only thing that kept me watching was to see who was going to end where in the drivers championship standings.

Let the unadulterated flaming of my team-orders opinion commence
