wow. great car. that cage is nice - co-worked on a few of similar complexity in VX commodores and they have more room to get inside and weld - i can only imagine what yours would have been like to weld up!

    very inspirational - cheers

I understand despite rolling, the Golf kept going and started the next stage after the roll over.

There was a '68 Beetle running too.

Great to see some dubs represented in Rallying... Love to build one of my own one of these days

Hi all... Well we've been home about 2 hours. We'll news does travel fast. We tripped the Golf over about 1.5 km from the end of the 2nd stage in the Prologue on Friday. We got into an up hill right hander a bit to fast and what looked like being a spin turned into a soft roll over as the front wheel cliped the small bank on the inside of a the cornor. We were totally un injured. Thanks for all your concerns. We repaired the car Friday night to start the main event on Saturday morning but at the back of the field. I'll post photos and more later ....Cheers Geoff

Good to hear you're ok Geoff! I got a bit nervous when I heard about it, but then I remebered you've got a roll cage!
