The trick is to not shock the driveline off the mark.
Let the clutch slip slightly as the tree comes down, don't just dump the clutch and floor it off the mark. This loads the drive train. When the light goes green, the trick is to balance the throttle and clutch together off the line to keep the boost up, keep the engine in a good power range and not overpower the track, breaking into wheelspin. Once that's out of the way it's pretty straight forward.
