    Is it single point injection? Looks like a carby and screams out for forced induction? Go aftermarket and get some pipework made up. It`ll cost you though. Lets us know if you do it.

    Audi TT has the same basic motor and obviously turbo. Thats the best genuine way I reckon. Or a G60 supercharger from a Mk2? but hard to get.

    I know where you are coming from. I like cordobas a lot, but they are a bit soft and just needs a kick in the arse. Turbo would be great.

    There are a few companies in the US who make aftermarket turbo kits for the 8v vw lumps. They are a bit pricy, but are fully plug and play.
