The old 8v used 7L / 100 on the way over to Canberra doing 140 all the way. On track it uses about 18L / 100

What was the oem tyre on the SEAT matt?

I dont know for the 16v mate.

    For the 2L 8vs its 185/60/14.

I suspect the 16v may have had 15s, probably the same as VR6 to clear the brakes, which would probably be 195/50/15 or 205/50/15 what the wheels looked like is anyones guess, this one came to me with 17" chromies and I have never seen another.

    New shoes again

I managed to sell the original Chrome Wheels that came on out Toledo through Ebay and the spent the money on these 2 Piece BBS rims from a golf 4.

They are 16s and had no tyres. Foryunately Dave had donated some tyres to me when he upgraded, so I slapped em on for now. They are 195/45/16.

I really want 205/50/16, but I think they look good at the moment.

Those wheels look the same as were fitted to the mk3 anniversary in the UK. I saw one in adelaide last week which surprised me.
I think they were 205 or 215s on the Golf
