    SEAT Ibiza conversion. Fuel Pump Question.

    Right guys, I have this 1.4 Seat Ibiza that was running single point injection. The gearbox is rooted and new ones are expensive and the car is gutless anyway.

    I also have a Golf 16v Mk2 engine and gearbox and am thinking I can make the beeza the b@stard child of VAG. And quite fast in the process

    Does anyone know how to make the fule pump work with Kjet? If is just a continuous running pump, can I use a kjet pressure accumulator and it will give the right pressure?

    This is my major concern, other than that I reckon I have all the bits to make it work.

    Any help or suggestions gratefully accepted.

    how bout u put the 2L u are gunna put into ur golf. wack that into the ibiza and put the 1.8 into the golf

    All VAG pumps are continuous running.

    How about I put 1.8Ls in both cars. Minimal engineering.
    I have lots of 16vs at my house at the mo, so shout if you want one.

    K-Jet is CIS. I think you meant EFI and the answer is yes.

    Yes, but would be better to match everything, including fuel line sizes.

    The Ibiza has pretty chunky fuel lines as standard, so I was gonna use them. Is wider Ok, or do I have to change to narrower ones for kjet? Surely not?

    From memory the std K jetronic ( CIS) lines are 10 mm the pump you are using will need to deliver 900 millilitres in 30 seconds with at least 11.3 volts at the pump..

    System pressure is 68 - 78 PSI.

    see how ya go, if u need it I can scan the page out of the bentley..
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

    If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    when I joined this forum Loon was building a mk1 Golf.
    Suggestion
    Why don't you finish what you started first.Stop getting off track.

    Why put a 16v in a Seat when you can buy one already done by the factory and a home built one will never be as good as the Russell Morris and in the end would cost as much.
    I want to see a mk1 on the road.
