    removing door trim

    hey all,
    1995 seat toledo.
i have the left back power window not working anymore and the right back one makes a horrid grinding sound when when going up and down. ive attempted to remove to trim to have a look but cant manage to remove the actual trim as the rubber on the top (basically the inside seal that meets the window) is caught somehow. ive removed the power window connection from the switch and removed every screw i could find. ive tried using a flathead under each part i could get to on the seal, ive tried pulling the whole thing down/up/left/right and shifting to the right/left/down/up... drivin me nutso!.

This is coming from cordoba experience only, but did you do the following:
    - unscrew the door lock knob.
    - on the door handle, pop out the two plastic covers and remove two scres, then slide handle back to remove.

THere may be scresw behind the speaker grille and slide the handle surround forwards to remove it. Handle cover prises open and there are a few screws behind it.

Then when you are sure there are no more screws, hunker down grab hold of the door pocket and push the door open, as it opents, briskly pull the door card and it should pull the clips straight out. I find that if you try and force each clip individually with a screwdriver, you damage more of em than the swing and tug method!

I reckon you will need new regs for the back doors.

By the way, if you cant get the door trim off, your chances of fixing the window are pretty slim
