Did you get your starting issue fixed? I also had a split breather but it didnt effect running. Do you have a VAGCOM cable?

it was stuck at the girl im seeings place.. stalled outside her house during the storm. was stuck there for 3 days while i got little bits and pieces to try and get it started again.. was turning over and the revs went up when u put the throttle down, just didnt want to actually start the engine. so went to audi, ordered the hose, pick that up soon.
pulled the coil pack apart and the dizzy. looked for loose connections and for the knock sensors and got a spray to get rid of moisture. ordered a new coil pack and got some tools cause couldnt be ****ed driving 40mins in my girls car to get my tools. everythin was dry so didnt even need it. sprayed anyway.
when i pulled the dizzy apart, the slip was hanging over the arm, put that back on, thou its still loose, so ill be looking for a new 1 soon incase it decides to fall off again. and started the car the next day cause it got to dark. car ran fine. so put the old hose back on until i drive to Audi where ill be putting the new one on in there carpark.. haha
