Need some ibiza help!

So after much anticipation I managed to find the old coil, get the bolts off (they were tricky, such an awkward place) and install my new part! So simple! And to think without this forum I would've been in the hands of some unenthusiastic reluctant mechanic.

The drive home yesterday was as sweet as the first time I drove my little Ibiza.

Thanks everyone for your help and encouragement! Especially Loon, so great to know there's a dedicated Seat enthusiast on hand.

Our first female diy er I think.

Glad that was the problem. Only thing to check is that the earth strap is connected from one of the mounting bolts to the engine. It will shorten the life of the coil if it is not.

racv etc PLUS will help save a lot of time and money..
ie free towing if car disabled ...it pays for itself with the fuel u save alone...@todays prices.

my coil in my Seat cracked in my garage ....lol cant go far..

u have other re this and h/gasket as water comes out of exhaust!!!
any Seat .8L heads floating around

There are no good secondhand coils karmen. New ones last 3 years. second hand not long.

Engine and head is same as 1.8cl, I`d just get your head skimmed and refitted.
