Yes the paint is not very magic to look at but it is black. It goes great though. Even though the Polo has a lot more go now that it is chipped I still like the Cupra. It is still quick, corners like it is on rails and gives better fuel consumption too when driven as identically as I can.

Yes I bought the Cupra from Cupra99 (a couple of months ago), and I have to say that there seems to be an issue with the roof clear coat on the black magic cars. I have had a couple of quotes for the roof only here in Canberra and it seems I won't get away with it for under $400...even starting to think about giving it a go myself. I too have some plans to bring her back up to her former glory, not too much to worry about as the interior is close to perfect (she hasn't had alot of use, only 66k on the clock), the paint is the real issue...One day it would be nice to get the whole car painted...nice to dream!

My Ibiza was rough when I bought it.

Now there are less blemishes in the paint than my Dad's <6month old MKVI.

I live in Canberra too, so if you would like me to cut the car back for you after the roof is painted, let me know

Thanks, it would be interesting to see if the paint on the rest of the car could be saved, there are quite a few nicks and scratches...are you north or south?
