How much to pay for a '95 Ibiza

Hello everyone, im interested in purchasing a Seat Ibiza and was wondering what a good price from a dealer would be. Redbook.com.au values the 1995 model as anywhere between 800 and 1800 but as dealer purchases come with warranties, im unsure how much to factor this in. There was one for about 3k with a 12 month warranty and a couple months of rego remaining, is this a decent price?
    Thanks.

    Welcome to VWwA mryan89

3K seems fair especially considering it has a 12 mth warranty that said Matt (Golf Loon) knows more about SEATs than anyone else on this site

Mmm dealer used car warranties, not worth the paper there written on in my opinion. Depends on what type of ibiza your after, but you should be able to pick up a good 8v Gti for around 3k. Probly have around 170,-200,km on the clock, but ive seen em still going strong with well over 200,k. Top engine the old 8v.

You may be able to negotiate with the Dealer to omit the warranty and therefore buy at a lower price.

$3000 seems OK, depending on mileage.

We paid $10k last year for our Golf CL auto (123k), with heaps of problems. It was a small yard, and I wouldn't take it back there because I wanted all the work to be done properly. Most of the issues were A/C & body related, which are generally not covered by warranty.

You can buy a 1.4L Ibiza for $1000-$3000
You will struggle to find a decent 2L 8v GTI for that money, they are $3500-$6000 depending on condition and Cupra Sports are more again (16v)

The 8v GTI is the pick of em in my opinion and I wouldnt be scared of high kms, they are a strong motor and a light car.
