    Front shock mount?

    I found the clunk from the front of the car...



    I assume it's the shock mount that is the problem (not the shock)? Is that repairable in the short term or anyone near in Bris got one for sale?
    My wife really needs her car tomorrow.

    edit: fixed short term by welding an appropriate sized washer inside the top mount (it holds everything in place)

    german - english translations esp vw documents!!

    Dismantling 95 Seat Cord'a and 73 campers and 74 dc van !!! Some Mk1 and t2 ant3 gear in my stash,,,

    u should prob change both sides
    mine are both complete still in car i was going to rwc but probs with leaking head after machining

    and I will do u a deal with shocks and coils 156,000 kms only...no leaks etc if interested
    less work
    trade old or u keep for spares!
    will be dwn asap as pickin up a bettle in nth nsw

    Wow, thats very broken.
    New ones are a better bet and inexpensive.
    Get the rubber and the bearing and do both sides.
