    Distibutor for cordoba alpine 97

How difficult is it to obtain a distributor for the cordoba. When this car was in Adelaide recently a mechanic there said he couldn't scource one and that a golf part neded a lot of modification.

He modified it to get the car home but said it could not be fixed from then without the whole new part. (might last 10 years or fail in a year)

The car is getting flat spots when warm and when very hot is difficult to start.

    Any comments

Camden GTI will have one for you. http://www.camdengti.com.au/

PM Golf Loon on the forum he is the owner.

Are you sure it's the dissy not the coil. Both could be considered common failures on these cars.

    Cheers
