    Cupra spark plugs

Went to change the plugs on my 99 Cupra and they are a French brand with four prongs. What should I replace them with and how do you do the gap with these sort of plugs? What should the gap be?
    Also
I love the power this thing has when cold (first 2 mins after starting) then when warm it seems to have less - is this the air temp sensor or just that it runs richer when cold?
    Also

You don't gap new plugs these days, they should be set from the factory. If they need gapping down the line, that's the time to replace them again.

Most cars run better from cold, you can get a away with a bit more timing and like you said they do run richer. Cold air also causes a denser charge which has more oxygen in it, which the engine likes.

The ABF plugs are Bosch F5DP0R as standard. Other 16vs ran non-platinum F6DTC

Its always a good idea to check and re-gap the plugs before installing them.....after they have been thrown around in the spare parts departments and shipped to various destinations its not unusual to find the gap has been closed down slightly.

Also some plugs fit many different cars with varying gaps so how you can assume that the gap is correct for the particular application ?

    Cheers

You can buy Platinum or Irridium plugs for $40 each, or get a good spares place to find you a suitable alternative.

I did this for the 16v Toledo, all the listings in Oz said that it needed a marine plug

Maybe we can get h100vw to have a look at one of the plugs and tell us what they are.

The F5DP0Rs are only 19.12ea + GST Some ABFs came with a Beru plug as standard, too - don't know the number, though.
