    Question Cordoba (Fitting)Base plate

    Hi,

Have just ordered a new Base plate ( Thats the bit that fits between the Inlet manifold and carby or fuel injection ) from Golf Loon and I'm after a few tips on the correct fitting. More importantly on how not to stuff it up !

    Thanks Griffo

Thanks mate, its on its way.

1st step is to remove the aircleaner cover.
3 10mm bolts hold the plastic on, 2 vacuum hoses on the back, one big and one small.

2nd step, unclip the throttle cable and the electrical connections.

    3. 4 10mm bolts that go through the singlepoint unit undo them all, but they dont need to come right out.
You should now be able to lift the singlepoint unit away from the baseplate. Dont turn it upside down or shake it.

4 Now you can see the 4 10mm bolts that hold the rubber flange to the intake manifold. One bolt may have a tab that you need to bend out of the way.

Make sure you put the rubber flange on in the same way as the old one and reassemble in reverse order.

Car will run sooo much better when its not sucking air.
    Cheers
    Matt
