    Just quickly. Did any of you guys know the answer the diagnostic port question? Do these cars have one? Is there a way to diagnose an airbag fault?

    I think they have one and if they do its behind the ashtray im pretty sure, you slide the plastic strip above the lighter.

    I thought they were under glovebox on drivers side ? I havent worked on a cordoba for over a year now .

    As for the other issue its a bit of a wild guess as to it being a coolant temp sender .

    Could also be faulty MAF , O2 sensor or base gasket on throttle body just to name a few .

    its not near the ashtray. thats where my mk3 has it

    thanks for the heads up seb. ill have a poke about the glovebox area.

    Yes the plug is on the left side of the drivers glovebox

    I still reckon its the sensor, but the baseplate of the single point injection could give similar symptoms, try rocking the carby and look for gaps in the rubber, or excessive play.
