After a strapping an engine to a pallet for pick up this morning. I cracked on with replacing the heater matrix in the Toledo, it blew a few weeks back in a big way and the guy who I had lent it to called 000 and 2 fire engines came to "put it out".

Anyway, I pulled the dash out and fitted the replacement matrix from my A3. Spotted some chaffed wires in the dash loom, fixed them up and the fuel gauge now works again.

Replaced the clutch cable, took out the self adjusting one and fitted a manual adjusting one. This is off a MK2 1300 Golf. Had to modify it slightly and the outer was about an inch too short. Seems ok so far but I haven't driven it yet.

Need to finish the interior still, maybe an hour in the morning.
