What's a quiet intake?

Hi all, first proper post here. I have a Scirocco on the way and have been reading up on the tuning mods but I can't find a definitive answer to my question.

Im looking to get an aftermarket intake kit but I want one that is as close to stock in terms of noise levels. I plan on a Spectune upgrade pretty quickly but have read that the Volante intake adds a fair bit of noise.

Is their an intake that is cosindered to be pretty quiet?

Can't suggest an intake but have you considered keeping the stock setup and just adding a high flow air filter?

Hi Stellio, yes it did occur to me though I have a suspicion it won't flow enough for a stage 2 tune. I only planned on getting the turbo downpipe, HPFP and whatever is needed on the induction side to satisfy the airflow needs.

I probably should give the tuner a call.

I spoke to my local APR tuner and he advised that I could run a stahpge 2 upgrade with the panel filter. He did say it won't give the same power increase as a CAI though (its only a few KW that I won't miss).

I'm booked in for a stage 1 but keeping getting the urge to buy an HPFP to get the torqu up there! I may consider a CAI down the track but, for now, I reckon a panel filter will do me.
