I must admit, the VWR looks a lot cleaner than my Twintake.

To be honest that actually looks pretty good, maybe I was comparing to my Polo, which is pretty messy underneath the cover. I haven't picked up the Scirocco yet, so I'll make a judgement when I get it.

JohnA - I found these guys... uspmotorsports, who are a little more expensive than another one I found, however there shipping is much cheaper than the other mob, and should be about 620 landed. I think i might get the short shift kit too, for about 870 total. They will do the oil catch can, just getting a price on them, however it would have to be a separate order otherwise I will get charged gst. I'll keep you informed if i place an order, make sure they are reliable.

Have a look here for a near-new catch can. all you need to complete the kit for a Golf/Scirocco R is the PCV plate, manifold tap and hoses - all of whichyou can source through Carformance for about $100. http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...ad.php?t=82512

For anyone interested, I placed an order via uspmotorsports. They came back to me saying VWR won't let them ship to australia. So i've taken to using a redirect service (priceusa.com.au) which i've used before.

Also because i don't have to worry about shipping out of the US, i went to an alternative site (Auto Parts Store | Performance Car Accessories | Autotuningstore) who are cheaper than usp, but i passed on because of high shipping costs. Expecting to be about $900 landed for the intake + short shift. Again will keep anyone interested informed as to how the company is.

My plan RRRRIT is to use the mail redirect service. So that autopartsstore site will ship for free @ 559usd to us addres, then hopefully they will ship over to us for about the same price as the first website (70usd) and it should actually come out about the same if not a little cheaper. Not only is the postage on autopartsstore outrageous, but they might have the same issue where VWR tell them they can't ship to australia.

That's exactly what I did with mine. Price, including shipping turned out to be a hair below USD
